How to have more energy throughout the day

How are you? I hope you had a great weekend last weekend and are planning something fun for this weekend. I went to Glen Ivy Hot springs last weekend and had a nice, relaxing spa day. I'm not sure what I'm doing this weekend, but I'm hoping to spend some time at the beach or outside. It's so hard to believe that it's going to be September next week! I hope you are taking the time to enjoy your last days of summer. I'm sure, if you have kids, that you are getting ready for them to go back to school if they haven't already. This is one time of the year where a lot of people start to think about their health goals again, especially after a busy summer where you might not be eating as healthy as you should, don't have a regular workout schedule, are going to lots of parties, and drinks like margaritas are more enjoyable on an outdoor patio. Once summer is over, a lot of people tend to get back on a more regular schedule and are able to exercise regularly again and make healthier eating choices. If that's something you're trying to do and you need some guidance or are interested in a program to get you back on track, I will share in an upcoming newsletter about my group program that is coming up, but you can always go to my website to check out my programs by clicking on the Work With Me tab. Today, I just wanted to share a quick tip with you about something that I've been doing lately that has significantly increased my energy level. First, I always recommend eating a well balanced breakfast and making sure you don't eat a lunch that is high in fat, carbs, or sugar, which you can read more about by clicking here. In addition to that, I recommend going for a walk at some point during the day, especially if you have a job where you are sitting at a computer all day. This is something that I started doing a couple months ago because I felt that I needed to get out of my house for a little bit and wanted to try to get more steps in. I have noticed by the end of my day that I still have more energy and want to do more stuff at night, rather than just sit and watch TV. There have been a few times when I wasn't able to go for a walk during the day, and I noticed that my energy level was significantly lower than the days I do go for a walk. So, if you are able to take the time during your day to go out for a walk, even if it's just for 10 minutes, I promise that you will feel so much better at the end of the day. I know it can be hard to get the motivation to go, especially if you've been sitting all day, but all you have to do is take the first step, and once you realize how good you feel, you will want to do it every day. I have even had some clients who have walking groups or walking competitions at their jobs, which offers extra motivation and support. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day!
