One of the easiest things you can do to get back on track with your health goals.

I had a great weekend last weekend! I went to my friend's pool on Sunday and spent a nice relaxing day there. The weather has been unusually cold for this time of the year, so I'm hoping that there will be a few more weekends where we can still go swimming. As I mentioned last week, this is the perfect time of the year to get back into your healthy habits since things are usually kind of crazy in the summer, and this time of the year, after things settle down, it's easier to get back into a regular routine. So, what is one of the simplest things you can to do to get back on track with your health goals? Start planning and prepping your meals! It may sound like a lot, but once you get used to it and build it into your routine, you will wonder why you haven't always been doing it! It's an easy way to make sure that you always have something healthy planned for all of your meals so you aren't left grabbing something not so healthy or even fast food at the last minute when you are starving. What's the easiest way to meal prep?

  1. Plan your meals ahead of time before you go to the grocery store.

  2. Make a list of all of the ingredients that you will need to make the meals that you planned.

  3. Take a few hours after going to the grocery store to make your meals.

  4. Store portions of your meals in containers in the fridge or freezer. This will make them easy to grab and put in your lunch bag the night before so your lunch will be ready to go in the morning.

  5. I also recommend prepping your breakfast the night before so you aren't tempted to go through a drive through on your way to work, or, even worse, skip breakfast. (Stay tuned for a healthy and easy breakfast in my newsletter next week!)
