How does food affect your mood?
Can you believe it's already June? That means it's basically already summer in most places. It's been pretty cloudy here lately, so hasn't felt much like summer, but that will come soon. Summer is my favorite time of the year, but that also means going to the beach/pool, wearing swimsuits more often, and wearing less clothes. Are you ready for summer? If you are feeling that you have put on a few pounds and want to feel your best when it's time to put your swimsuit on, click

Eating healthy when you are crazy busy
I feel like I have been so busy this week because I wasn't able to work at all over the weekend since I went camping, which was so much fun! At first we weren't going to stay over since it was supposed to be so cold, but we ended up staying over and had a great time. It was definitely cold though. I had to wear gloves for the first time since I moved here, and I had 3 sweatshirts on and 2 pairs of pants. I always love the camping food. There is just something about food tha

How to sleep better and feel less stressed
I'm really looking forward to the weekend because I'm going camping on Saturday night. It will be so nice to get away, even just for a short time. I also really love camping food. We usually do vegetable packets in foil with fresh herbs, and, of course, hot dogs and bacon. (I buy uncured, nitrate free.) It will be fun, but I have a lot to do before the weekend, and am trying not to stress myself about it, and just focus on one thing at a time.
I can tell when I'm working t

On the go breakfasts
I'm the worst at getting up in the morning, and literally hit the snooze at least 8 times before finally rolling out of bed! I even have to set 2-3 different alarms for each morning. I've always been like that. It's something we all have done: extended our R.E.M. cycles by hitting the snooze button once or twice, maybe even three times. The payoff for those precious extra minutes of sleep often ends up with a mad dash out the door with no time for breakfast. This morning ri

How to eat clean without spending too much time in the kitchen
I'm still going strong on my Sugar Detox! I can't believe how great I feel. I'm not sure if it's from the detox or if it's the Juice Plus+ supplements that I started taking a few weeks ago, or it could be both. I feel better than I have in a long time though!

Tired of belly bloat?
Well, I'm back from Vegas. I was there for a Health Coaching conference last week, which was a really good experience. I learned a lot, had a great time, and met some really cool people. One thing I hate about traveling is that I often don't feel well because I'm not used to eating out very much. I always end up feeling bloated and weighed down. To avoid that, I had the hotel put a fridge in my room, and I brought my blender. I stopped at Whole Foods when I got there and pic

Why I started eating meat again after 20 years.
Have you ever just felt so sick that you’d do anything to make it better? Like, you’re online researching all the home remedies to see if you can find one that works?
I have been there, and as a result, I started eating meat again after 20 years. At the point when I started eating meat again, I had been a complete vegetarian for 6 years - a strict one too. Some vegetarians don't ask questions when they go out to eat, or may not realize that there might be animal products
